    Hello Emily,

    I got question, first of all what will happen if I reuse deposit address on quick transaction ?

    My second concern is that current User Interface is not bullet proof, and this (reusing address for quick) is gonna be happening quite a lot. However I don't have any suggestion how to solve it.

    Hi Emily

    I used the same deposit address in Quick mode but didnt turn on the reusable address button, I havent received my crypto currencies, what proceeds from here...

    How do I know that the generated deposit address is a reusable one? Does the order detail page look different then the one from a non reusable address? The API doesn't provide a call to check, whether a deposit address is reusable or whether an order is connected to a reusable address. If I send a second deposit to the reusable address, is this transaction handled under the same order id?

    I'm asking because I created a reusable address for a quick BTC_BCH change. The first send lead to a withdrawal to my BCH address. A second attempt two hours later to the same address didn't lead to anything, I didn't receive anything on my BCH address nor something on my refund BTC address. If I check the order details page it still shows the 'old' completed state of the first transaction, no sign of the second transaction. (You need to inspect the blockchain to know that it's the first transaction because there is no time of execution or something similar) The result of the API call to shapeshift.io/txStat/[address] returns the same 'old' complete result of the first transaction.

    My case is handled under #72101 but I only got the answer, that "This transaction has now completed", referencing the BCH transaction of the first attempt that clearly (if I compare the time of BCH transaction to the time of the second BTC transaction) happened around two hours before the second BTC deposit.

    If you are using the API, the default status of a Quick exchange address is "re-usable".

    Then there seems to be big issue with the website. I created now a BTC_BCH order a third time, always selecting "Reusable address?" After that I check the state of the deposit address like this shapeshift.io/txStat/1FEZF3LumjJhthdNiMDn5HN2mkoSB17XdN and i always get this result:
    {
    "status": "no_deposits",
    "address": "1FEZF3LumjJhthdNiMDn5HN2mkoSB17XdN"
    }

    Do I get it correct that even if I'm selecting "Reusable address?" in the UI it doesn't lead to a reusable address in the system? If so, it's not surprisingly that my second transaction to the deposit address got lost in space.

    HI there,

    It appears that no deposits were made to that address: https://blockchain.info/address/1FEZF3LumjJhthdNiMDn5HN2mkoSB17XdN and currently the API will not show "re-usable" when you search the status of an order relating to an address. Open a ticket if you have funds "lost in space" our team will help you find them :) https://shapeshift.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

    There is no deposit because this was a test order.

    Is there any way way for the user to check whether a deposit address (or order) really is a reusable one after starting a transcation (after step 3 of this guide)? Any indication on the transaction/order details page of the website or any API call that returns the type of address/order by order id or deposit address?

    I already filed a case under #72101 for my problem but I still don't know whether it's a problem with reusable addresses or maybe because of a multi output transaction https://shapeshift.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000441850-What-is-a-multiple-output-transaction-
