There is absolutely no confusion when it comes to understanding the difference between SAI, DAI, and xDAI. Joking of course. Hopefully this article will help clear up some confusion between the three.
What Is SAI?
SAI is Single Collateral DAI. It is the non-migrated version of DAI. With the launch of Multi-Collateral DAI on November 18th, 2019, the name and ticker symbol of Single Collateral DAI is changing to SAI (SAI).
What is DAI?
DAI is the new DAI. It is often referred to as Multi-Collateral DAI. It is an ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain that has aims to have a steady value of 1 USD. DAI has remained stable for several years with only minor wavers from its 1 USD price point.
What is xDAI?
xDAI is marketed as the first ever stablechain. Utilizing the TokenBridge technology, every xDAI token is 1-1 pegged to DAI on Ethereum mainnet.
Ok that's all great and everything but where can I store these coins?
DAI and SAI are available on the ShapeShift platform.
xDAI can be stored on the Portis wallet.
