This article is intended to clarify what certain ShapeShift DAO Discord channels are used for. Note: You may not be able to see every channel mentioned below. If you believe that you should have access to one of the following channels, please message our moderators by tagging them (@modsquad).
- The ShapeShift DAO Discord Server Logo. Join the community here.
#general - Easily the most active channel in the ShapeShift Discord. Conversations range from banter to silly GIFs to (fill in the blank). If you post in #general about something that would better fit being talked about in another channel (ie: your post is about marketing or product), someone from the community will happily assist in getting you in the 'proper' channel.
#support-for-users - This channel is for quick access to our customer support team. If you don't want to open a support ticket, you can use this channel to chat with one of, or several, of our agents in real time.
#create-support-box - Use this if you want to chat with our support team but you don't want everyone in the Discord to be able to see your messages. Opening a 'support box' is like having a private DM that only members from ShapeShift's customer support can see.
#support-cross-team-chat - A contributor based channel and is meant to allow cross-workstream communication and is ideal for getting in contact with customer support team members. Use this channel if you need to chat with customer support but you aren't in need of assistance from support. ie: "I have a question for the support team that doesn't involve me getting assistance with one of ShapeShift's products." or "If you're in marketing and have a question for support, come on over to #support-cross-team-chat and post your Q there and we'll be right there!"
#support-team-home - A place for customer support workstream members to chat amongst themselves. Only members from customer support should be posting in this channel.
#report-issues - Use this channel to report a bug/issue you have found when using one of ShapeShift's products. Click the designated emoji to start the reporting process. Then proceed to follow the instructions to fill out the bug report - this feature is most commonly used by support team members who are relaying issues from customers or discovered while testing.
#discord-help - Need help with something specific to Discord? Chat with one of our server mods in this channel.
